I am new to blogging having never so much as read a blog, but my doctor suggested I might wish to participate. I was diagnosed in April as having two very small tumors in my left breast. I am not sure it has sunk in yet. I had a lumpectomy in June and started radiation at the end of July. The 33 treatments were completed in mid September. In the next few blogs I plan to review what happened from diagnoses to date. It most cetainly has been an adventure.

I am a 50 year old woman diagnosed with Anal Cancer a year ago. I looked all over the internet for information on this disease and found a great deal about the symptoms (yep … all were what I experienced) and treatment. What I did not find was information on how to deal with the side effects of the treatment of my disease. I am in the process of writing a diary of the process, and what I did (in many cases trial and error) to survive and improve the quality of life during this period. The hope is that by sharing this information may help someone else going through this treatment.
